The
Expedition Assessor Accreditation Scheme (EAAS)
training provides a route to accreditation for those who wish to assess DofE expeditions. Expedition Assessors check that expeditions meet the DofE’s required 20 conditions.The e-induction and EAAS pre-course e-learning modules must be completed in advance of the course, as well as the Gold Assessor e-learning (for Assessors at Gold level, or those assessing in wild country). The EAAS training course covers the role and responsibilities of the Expedition Assessor and is normally delivered as a one day course. After successfully completing the EAAS course, delegates must be endorsed by a Licensed Organisation, Approved Activity Provider or Assessor Network within two years. They can then be accredited as an Expedition Assessor and are able to assess DofE expeditions.
