Expedition Assessor Accreditation Scheme
The
Expedition Assessor Accreditation Scheme (EAAS)
training provides a route to accreditation for those who wish to assess DofE expeditions. Expedition Assessors check that expeditions meet the DofE’s required 20 conditions. The e-induction and EAAS pre-course e-learning modules must be completed in advance of the course, as well as the Gold Assessor e-learning (for Assessors at Gold level, or those assessing in wild country). Access the e-learning from
www.DofEtraining.org.
The EAAS training course covers the role and responsibilities of the Expedition Assessor and is normally delivered as a one day course. After successfully completing the EAAS course, delegates must be endorsed by a Licensed Organisation, Approved Activity Provider or Assessor Network within two years. They can then be accredited as an Expedition Assessor and are able to assess DofE expeditions. For further information and introductory course resources, visit the Expedition Assessor Accreditation Scheme webpage:
