DofE Expedition Skills course

The DofE Expedition Skills (DES) is a basic expedition skills training course, normally attended by expedition leaders and expedition support staff.

The DES gives delegates the theoretical and practical skills needed to support DofE expeditions (on foot and in normal Bronze terrain).

The e-induction and Introduction to the Expedition section e-learning modules must be completed in advance of the course. Access the e-learning from www.DofEtraining.org.

The DES course then comprises 30 hours of theory and practical learning, which will give delegates the skills needed to start supporting DofE expeditions, and will usually be delivered as residential.
